The Physician Assistant (PA) Prometric exam is a standardized assessment for physician assistants aiming to obtain certification or licensure, often required by regulatory authorities in various countries. The exam evaluates the candidate's knowledge and skills in providing medical care under the supervision of physicians.

Exam Format

- Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs)
- Computer-Based (CBT)
- Exam Duration : 3 to 4 hours
- Passing Criteria : 60-70% to pass.
 
Purpose

• The primary purpose of the exam is to provide a standardized measure for licensing PAs, allowing them to practice legally within a healthcare system. In regions like the Middle East (e.g., Saudi Arabia, UAE), passing this exam may be a requirement for obtaining a license to practice as a PA.

• It ensures uniformity in the quality of care delivered by Physician Assistants, regardless of where they obtained their education and training. By passing this exam, candidates demonstrate that they meet the necessary standards of medical knowledge and clinical competency.
